Tearing up Chapter 5 from the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous- Blog Talk Radio – Deprogramming skills 101

March 22, 2019 Posted by MONICA RICHARDSON Alcoholism 5 Comments

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/saferecovery/2019/03/21/leaving-aa-how-does-one-deprogram-from-aa-alcoholics-anonymous A one hour show with Monica Richardson tearing up the Big Book of AA. Chapter 5.

Rarely have we seen a person fail who has thoroughly followed our path. First off – that’s not true. In 36 years in AA,  I saw many people who did everything they needed to do- to stay sober. They worked the steps, got a sponsor, the list is long : be of service, make coffee, set up chairs, be a greeter, a GSR etc…but still they could not stop drinking the “AA Way”.

They were told – “they were wrong”. Work it harder. Do more service. I think I even said this once to a person I knew – that the reason they didn’t stay sober, looking back in hindsight was they never did service! What a joke – what a stupid thing to say. Yes …maybe some are more giving then others,  but that is not the reason a person stays AA style “sober”.  The list goes on in Chapter 5 which is read at the beginning of every AA meeting now around the world.  It was first published in 1939 and has never been changed or updated.

Even the Catholic Church has updated its readings many times since 1935. Another severe punitive saying often heard in meetings is ” you were naturally incapable of being honest with yourself ! That you were ” born that way” – wow – what a ridiculous statement – this is just not true .  Over one hour I dissected all of chapter 5- Take a listen and in doing so you too will unravel the BS that AA propagates to the hundreds of thousands who not only go to AA, but to the unsuspecting public who is force fed AA through TV shows and A list films.

Are you thinking about Leaving AA ?

I think what you posted was actually very reasonable. However, what about this?
suppose youu composed a catchier post title?
Imean, I don’t want to tell you how to run your website, however what
if you added a poist title that grabbed folk’s attention?
I mean Leaving AA Blog Talk Radioo – Deprogramming Tearing upp Chapter 5 from thee Big Book oof Alcoholics Anonymous – Leavng AA
is kinda vanilla. You might look at Yahoo’s home page
and notfe how they create article headlines to grab viewers tto click.
You might ttry adding a video or a picture or two to grab reawders excited about
what you’ve got to say. Just my opinion, it would make your website a little
    livelier.
