Rehab Racket’: High Costs Of Addiction Treatment And Questions Over Efficacy

German Lopez: “I talked to the family of Kimberly Blake. And she and her husband spent about $110,000 — or more — on addiction treatment. And their son still overdosed and died. And one of the facilities that they would go to — so there was ‘New Found Life’ in California, or there was the ‘[Little] Creek Lodge’ in Pennsylvania. And these places, they would go to them, and they would seem like they were good at first. They would promise all these nice things. The amenities, at times, seemed nice. About MONICA RICHARDSON

Monica Richardson was born and raised in New York City in the most northern part of Manhattan, "Inwood" an Irish Catholic neighborhood known for its gorgeous parks, tree lined streets, local bars, Jewish delicatessens, and basketball courts. Monica went to Catholic schools, studied piano and sang, played basketball and was on the swimming team. As a teenager she transplanted to Hawaii where her Dad moved after her parents divorced. Later she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and singing studying at Playhouse West, The Groundings, Santa Monica College and UCLA Extension Program. She worked on Movies and TV shows - sang in Japan, worked at 20th Century Fox, and LACER After Schools Program. Richardson made her first Documentary film, The 13th Step that won numerous awards and can be seen on AMAZON, Tubi and Vimeo.

    They said AA works for about 30% and no one questioned or fact checked them.

    AA criticism has barely made a dent in AA lies and they keep lie full speed ahead. well i guess we should thank them for not saying aa works 75% like they did in the pre 2000s. seesh!

      so true – the Star studded folks who promote it endlessly – Elton John, Now even Brad Pitt mentioning it – FFS – It needs to be shrunk – get it out of our court system at least. But so much more needs to happen- Its just too big of a cult that normal average pp think its a harmless support group that is free and great. ARGHHH
