Hi- Welcome to Leaving AA. A site about why I left or why you are leaving AA and about the support you may find here and on social media. I want you to know you are not alone in this feeling. There are some groups on FACEBOOK  regarding this topic. You are welcome to join me  there or write your thoughts and feelings on this anonymous blog. If you would rather just post and write here – that’s great too. Some people want complete anonymity, especially Doctors, Nurses and Pilots who are being forced to go to AA in a very punitive way.

There are good aspects of an anonymous blog. You can say what you want about your bad experiences in AA or NA .  Reporting is important- If crimes occur please go to the police – get a copy of the police report. Send copies to NY AA headquarters and your local AA district chair. File written complaints and keep a copy.

Facebook groups you can ask to join are Deprogramming from AA or any 12 step group, LEAVING AA, and Make AA Safer activism.  You will need to answer the questions to get into the groups.  If you are not on FACEBOOK then we can blog and talk here. I am on twitter as well.

Lately there are many criminal activities going on with Sober Living. I have been contacted by victims all over the Country and including the UK . Please go to the police. Also if you are a parent whose child died in rehab/sober living- call the police to open an investigation. This is the first step.
